For buyers

Buying a home in Bergen County.

Thirty years of knowing these towns, and an honest read on the ones you're weighing. If you're buying in Bergen County, you want someone who has closed a lot of these deals and will tell you the truth about them.

By the time most buyers reach out, they've already scrolled the listings online. What they're really after is someone who knows the difference between the photos and the reality — the building that's run well, the block that's quieter than it looks, the trade-off that matters. That's the part I help with.

I work with first-time buyers, families trading up or down, people relocating, and investors, across both residential and commercial property. Whatever the search, my job is the same: honest advice, a clear plan, and no pressure.

How I help buyers

I start by listening — what you need, what you're comfortable spending, and what would make this the right move. From there I help you focus the search, see the homes that actually fit, and understand the differences between towns, buildings, and blocks. When you find the one, I help you make a smart offer and guide you through inspection and closing.

The process, start to finish

It usually goes like this: we talk through your goals; you get pre-approved with a lender so you know your range; we search and tour together; we make an offer and negotiate; you do your inspection and due diligence; and we close. I'll be honest with you at every step about what's worth worrying about and what isn't.

Every purchase is a little different — a co-op board, a waterfront condo's fees, a commercial lease — and that's exactly where decades of local experience earn their keep.

Start with a conversation

The best first step is a phone call. Tell me what you're hoping to do, and I'll give you a straight answer about the market and a realistic plan — not a sales pitch. You can also search live Bergen County listings on NJMLS and call me when something catches your eye.

Good to know

Common questions.

Do I need to be pre-approved before we start looking?

It helps a lot. Getting pre-approved with a lender tells us your real range and makes your offer stronger when you find the right home. If you need one, I'm happy to point you toward lenders.

Can you help me buy a co-op or condo in Bergen County?

Yes — co-ops, condos, single- and multi-family homes, all of it. Co-ops in particular have a board-approval process that trips up a lot of buyers, and that's the kind of thing I help you navigate.

How do I start working with you as a buyer?

Call me. Tell me what you're looking for and where, and we'll take it from there — honestly, and at your pace.
